Next take a boat ride in the canal, which is within the network of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, was the major artery for transportation between the north and the south. The ancient canal crosses the city of Wuxi, from the beginning of Wuqiao all the way to South Gate. The Jiangnan water village style of the canal is still visible today. In ancient times, Wuxi residents lived by the canal, built markets by the canal, and nurtured the unique Jiangnan canal village culture.

Then go to the Jichang Garden, which is located inside Xihui Park, east side of Huishan, east side of western suburban of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. It is a famed Chinese classical garden in South China, and it was claimed as a national protected location of historical and cultural relics on 13 January 1988. Xiequ Garden inside the Summer Palace and Guo Ran Da Gong in Yuanming Yuan in Beijing both imitated Jichang Garden.

After your morning tour, enjoy an authentic Chinese lunch at a local restaurant and then go to the Yuantouzhu or "Turtle Head Isle" in English (so called because its shape resembles a turtle's head)which is a peninsula which lies on the northwestern shore of Tai Lake, and It was established as a park in 1916 and celebrates its centennial in 2016.

End of the trip and back to the railway station of Wuxi.
